Ballard designs slow service - Amberly wing chair

I ordered two arm chairs Dec 16. On dec 17! I called to alter the fabric choice. I spoke with someone who did this for me. Three weeks later I was advised my order was cancelled. I called them and was advised that once an order is placed that changes could not be made. Why the person on the phone 3 weeks earlier didnt tell me this is beyond me. I had to redo the order and get another order number. So a 3 week delay. For an item expected to be delivered in two months, I am still waiting. I received a notification end of March that the items had been shipped, but after two weeks contacted them and was to
D the truck failed to actually pick them up! They were in fact still in the warehouse! I still do not know if they have been picked up...it has now been 4 months! And that is not all. I ordered an ottoman to match . Now that arrived BUT the slipcover was poorly sewn, no serging of the linen fabric in spots which would prevent me from washing it ...as the fabric would fray AND it was too large for the ottoman...they said they would remake it. That was early March and I. Just this week was notified that the fabric had been sent to the slipcover seamstress. This means another loooong wait. I will never order from them again...it is getting close to 5 months since. Placed the order in mid Dec 2013......at this point I cannot comment on the quality of the Amberly Chairs as they have not been received!
